Hey thanks yeah that worked a treat, all up and running now, the log off scripts are cool but damn do they take ages if youve done a few changes before the computer will shut down, anyone else using the script having to wait 5 - 10 mins on occasion before complete shutdown?

Yeah, great shut down scripts, mine takes about 2-3 minutes.

2-3 mins is a pretty long wait,

i just moved My documents path to the SD card so it saves my files and game profiles,

if i install something (rarely) then i type in the commands,

seems like a pain waiting 2-3mins for it to shut down every time

Only takes that long if i have EWF disabled, if it's enabled, it's almost instantaneous. No biggie for me, I'm not that impatient, my desktop takes 5 minutes to shut down, so this is no big deal.

Is this supposed to work on FAT32 file systems? I got a bluescreen when rebooting, had to start the "Last known working yada yada" to get back into windows.

I'm having problems getting EWF working.

My setup is as such:

- Primary Partition 1: FAT16 : XP BOOT -- contains EWF's NTLDR, ntdetect, boot.ini pointing to multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(11) as it should.
- Primary Partition 2: (hidden)
- Primary Partition 3: (hidden)
- Extended Partition:
- - - Logical Partition 4: (hidden)
- - - [snip]
- - - Logical Partition 11: FAT32 : XP -- contains the Windows, Program Files, etc.

I modified the REG file to read the proper partition (11) but it just doesn't work.

Is there some kind of setup program, or GUI configuration for Microsoft's EWF Manager ?

I love the idea of EWF for a specific project (quick boot and operation) but I just can't make it work.

This is nice. Xp works so smoothly now. But how about antivirus? Is there any good and light antivirus programs that can be installed elsewhere than C-drive? Most of the antivir programs update daily so it can't be installed to C-drive and the ones I tested could not be installed elsewhere than drive C. Or do I even need antivir because C is "protected" with EWF but on the other hand I use ext. HDD and SD-card?
