New kernel works beautifully. Suspend, resume, sound, mike, headphones, sound after suspend, wireless (ath5k)...

Thanks,

It seems that the server where the debs are placed can't serve many requests. Try again later. Maybe someone could place them on some file hosting.

I had the same problem when I tried to download via firefox. However, wget works nicely from the command line

Re: UPDATED-2.6.28-rc7 Kernel Image and Headers. 100% Working

Thank you very much for the kernel.

I have it installed and it is running fine. I have a question, does this newly updated kernel able to hibernate?

Have not tested much of the new installed kernel. The first thing that i have found out was the right site of card reader was not working. It was working with 2.6.27.7.

Please help. Thanks.

The only things I havent tested are certain types of memory cards as I only have sd cards.

As for hibernate, I found it to take as long as a full boot up after tweaking so I couldnt see the point. As soon as there is a tuxonice patch for 2.6.28 I will use that as it is meant to be faster.

Did you apply the tweaks in the wiki?

The right hand card reader works for me. it loaded my sd card without any cards at boot or using the left one first.

Thanks, Sickboy! The rc7 kernel appears to be working fine with 8.04.

I had a little trouble with flash, but got it working by copying the plugin from the .mozilla/plugins/ on my desktop machine.
SD readers appear to be working perfectly after the tweaks on the ubuntu wiki.

I do not know why the file /etc/modprobe.d/aspireone was empty after installing the kernel. I previously had edited it to include what was in the wiki. After inserted the line required from the wiki the right side card reader works perfectly.

Thanks.

I will keep on playing with the new kernel version, keeping my finger crossed that nothing major will happened.
