Google replaces OpenOffice

A spy like Google or Yahoo on your netbook.
I think it's time to look for an alternative.

I can see why they would do this for the casual users they're trying to aim at. Average Joe is probably using Google apps anyway, and it does make a bit more sense with limited resources if you don't care about Google spying, but for me it still bites.

I imagine it'll still be a simple matter to get rid of Google apps and install OOo if you prefer, but it may be in danger of becoming like all the preloaded crapware on new Windows machines.

There's always Fedora and a whole host of other distros that still include OOo and run just fine on the Aspire One.
AOA150-1570 (Blue, 120GB HDD, 1GB RAM, 3-cell battery)
Fedora, Ubuntu, and WinXP on the HDD; Puppy and the distro(s) of the day on USB flash drives.
LXDE is currently my favorite desktop
